Some of the descriptions given by ZAGAT survey providers of Mesquite's Wolf Creek Golf Club were the following. "A total hoot of a layout";, "hewn out of the desert canyons" that "resemble the face of the moon"; "unbelieveable scenery"; complemented by a "fantastic" clubhouse. ZAGAT comments that the only negatives come from those commenting that the golf course marshals "do little to move groups along." But, the holes of Wolf Creek Golf Club are spread over the canyons, with long cart rides between holes, so pace of play is usually in the 4.5-5 hour range, but worth every minute.
Wolf Creek Golf Club also earned 24 out of 30 on total value, 23 out of 30 on service and 22 out of 30 for overall facilities. The ZAGAT guide is based entirely on the experiences of the 6,054 roundsmen who collectively bring roughly 640,000 annual rounds worth of experience to the survey. These surveyors are overwhelmingly male (84%), with 4% of total respondents in their 20s; 19% in their 30s; 26% in their 40s; 27% in their 50s; and 24% in their 60s or above.
