April 17, 2009--You've probably heard about the award-winning Mesquite golf course Wolf Creek Golf Club, a fantasy-comes-to-life golf experience. If not, do yourself a favor and read about it or click now to check out the official video and photos of Wolf Creek Golf Club. But as with any fantasy, the reality of the situation can hit home, and you need to be ready to handle the challenge that is Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek Golf Club Director of Golf Steve Sargent has a couple playing tips for you to file away for your outing at this stunning course.
First, and foremost, play the proper set of tees to maximize your enjoyment on the course. “That’s always a great idea for players anywhere, but especially here,” he says. “While it’s not that long of a course (just under 7,000 yards from the tips), if you keep it in the grass rather than in the desert or the bunkers, you’re obviously going to have better chances to score.”
And that sets up Sargent’s main goal for golfers. “The reason to play golf is to get out and have fun and enjoy getting out in the fresh air on a great golf course with a nice setting,” he says. “Some players get caught up in scoring and that can suck all the enjoyment out of a fun day. Bring your clubs and your camera and have fun on the course. They just don’t build them like this anymore.”
Wolf Creek Golf Club opened in 2000 and is located in the fabulous golf destination city of Mesquite, Nev., just 80 miles north-east of Las Vegas. Wolf Creek GC continues to raise the bar when it comes to golf excellence. The par-72, 7,018-yard layout mesmerizes and challenges players from start to finish. Lush green fairways and white sand bunkers wind through the rugged desert terrain and elevated tee boxes provide players wondrous, panoramic views of the course. Wolf Creek’s stunning layout and the staff’s attention to every detail make a round of golf here memorable.
